The Little Muskegon is overshadowed by its famous neighbor but provides solid early-season brown trout fishing in Mecosta County pine barrens landscape. Cold headwaters maintain trout temperatures through June. The river is smaller and more intimate than the main Muskegon, with lower pressure and more accessible wading.
